![]() I don't really know what you guys are all talking about Kormex, I've bought a complete 1-2 synchro with blocking rings, reverse gear with synchro and blocking rings, prices and service were always great. But I would imagine, like any shop, things are overlooked from time to time. Happened to me with the IPS AEM WB02, but it doesn't make them any worse of a shop. Hell, I've worked in shops my whole life and I've seen it happen MUCH more frequently. For whatever that's worth. -Ryan

going by the pictures that I saw of your 1/2 slyder, you should be able to put it on a lathe and clean the alumn off its the fork that you absolutely need to replace . |

The 5 and 6 speed 1/2 collar did have some minor design differences, thus different PNs, but they are interchangable. If no one else has either, then try getting up with AutoCraft again and asking if they have a 1/2 collar for either the 440 or 446.

Minor differences around the dog teeth (but not the teeth themselves) if I remember correctly. I have used a 5 speed one in a 6 speed and vis versa and been unable to tell any difference while operating the car. It has been a while and all of my parts are packed away for a few months other wise I would check for you.

you are in easton pa? I am 30 min's east of easton, I have these parts for a 6 speed: 1-2 shift fork, nothing wrong, retails for $170, asking $60 shipped (or will drive to you) Second gear (teeth on side of gear may need to be grinded to a point by a machine shop, because slight rounding), but everything else is fine. 2nd gear retails for $315 asking $30 2nd gear inner ring, absoutly nothing wrong with it retails $75, asking $50 2nd gear outer ring, also nothing wrong, $20 1st and 2nd friction rings, also nothing wrong, $25 I also have the HUB and SLEEVE assembly with the 3 springs and square pieces and balls. I am not a trans specialist, but should work fine. Retail $250, asking $30. |

Would you be willing to bring all that stuff to GZP in Easton so I can see what you've got? I'll probably buy the HUB & SLEEVE assy from you, and maybe the 1-2 fork, if it's in better shape than the one I already have. We might be interested in more of it as well. If not, I'll try to find a ride to you if you like. Please let me know ... thanks! -Ryan |
