Well, I need a 1st gear inner synchro (and preferably all 3) for a 6 speed right away. Any ideas? Anyone willing to sell them to me? Even at a premium?
The transmission is apart. That is the only thing wrong with it. I'd hate for 18_SSX to have to buy a whole new transmission for one sychro. Thanks for your help guys.

It would be a good idea to contact ONE company at a time on this. Also CRS is not a parts supplier and they do not wish to be a parts supplier either. So we should keep them out of this so as to not frustrate them in case this doesn't go through. That way we can at least still get some parts through them.

I really think we should wait on contacting a company about this until we get all the numbers down. We want to introduce this to the company in a way that is VERY well planed out and prepared for. To contact them now would be a waste of time and make us look foolish. I know a lot of us can't wait on parts any longer (including myself) but we can't afford to blow this oppertunity. Let's slow down and do it right. Lets be prepared and make an excellent presentation for our "chosen" company. I will admit I do have a company in mind but I am reluctant to mention who they are because I don't want any one to jump the gun on this.

Gatecrasher and Heikki - Thank you both for your support on this. As well as everyone elses. I have e-mailed Gloria about sales numbers. I'll let everyone know when I hear back from her.

I completely agree. This does need to be taken slowly, and be well thought out as to how we are going to handle this. Bret, please PM me if you need any info on ANY company, including contact info on specific company officers/employees. I will be more then happy to provide you with this info, however I do not yet want to post it on the board. Like you said, this needs to be taken slowly and carefully so we don't blow our chances.

SkortchGT - Thanks for your effort. I believe it will prove very valuable once we get these numbers down.

No word back from CRS yet. But couldn't the guys who work at Getrag find some sort of acounts reccord they have with CRS? I know CRS buys directly from Getrag in MI. I bet the accounts reccords have all the PNs and number of sales in them. (As well as sales from other non-440/446 trannys.)

Gatecrasher - You mentioned that you have CAPS. Would like any updates for it (I can get a copy of the update CDs from work) or do you have a source for this all ready?

No problem. Please let me know if you need any contact info for the companies you want to get in touch with once it comes down to that point. I too have CAPS, however I am not that fluent in using it. I was also wondering if there is an updated version out or how we can obtain any updates?

Can anyone tell me what this part # is per the CRS exploded view of the 446 is. I need to order a 4th gear synchro so I can do my clutch. Sorry for off topic.
Keep up the good work guys

RobBeck - If you need the exploded view from CRS send me an e-mail and I'll get it out to you. C11 is the blocker ring for both third and fourth gear. I woud recommend replacing all the synchro rings and seals while you are in there.

SkortchGT - I get updates for CAPS just about every month here at the dealer ship where I work. I can just take the update CD's home and copy the files onto my computor and send them out to any one who needs them. I have tryed to get a copy on CAPS on my computor but I'm not sure what files I need to copy from the work computors and no one knows where the install disk is.

You can get the CAPS program from http://www.Team3S.org. You have to send them email to get the download location. I am not sure about the updates but a lot is there.
