Got the email. I'll round up everything in the morning.

Here's the bearing list I took from the last 6-speed I was working in. I should have a 25-spline 5-speed this weekend. Not sure how different those are from the 18-spline models.

Inboard means close to the bell housing, outboard means towards the end cover and the side of the car. I included the brands just in case it matters.

Input shaft inboard: FAG 308-410
Input shaft outboard: FAG 57497A (might be a little off. The writing wasn't clear)
Intermediate inboard: FAG 30209A-H84
Intermediate outboard: Koyo Hi-Cap 30208 J-N
Center diff inboard: FAG 32010X-H84
Center diff outboard: Timken Y-32009X
Front output shaft inboard: Timken Y-32009X
Front output shaft outboard: Timken Y-32009X
Differential inboard: Timken Y-32008X
Differential outboard: Timken Y-32009X

On my 25 spline 5 spd it's a 574976, probably the same one you have (and i have not found that number anywhere except CRS and kormex, as well as the inboard brg/seal assembly)

It appears this is the only brg that differs from 5-6spd

Your numbers look right to me, Gate. And the 6 speed intermediary outboard is without a doubt 30208, unless I'm reading it wrong it is in fact the only one that differs, though the input shaft outboard is questionable, I can verify on my own when I get around to it. But I'm in the process of moving, so I make no promises of when that will be

You guys are terrific! I just had to order intermediate shaft taper bearings, but I didn't have the busted ones to get the numbers off of. Good timing with your list.

P.S. Gatecrasher -- I just sent you an email about a spring...

Does anyone have the Mitsu part numbers for the housings? An example of on I need has CRS PN: B05...but I don't see anything in the cross reference for B05 having a Mitsu PN....

I up dated the first post to include the bearing numbers for all of the shafts/diffs. Thanks for the info guys. It will make getting bearings from Applied much easier. I checked the Japan version of CAPS and it confirms that the bearings are the same for all years except for the end cover side bearing on the counter shaft. It was changed when Mitsu switched from the 5 speed to the 6 speed. I noted this in the bearing number list on the first post. If anyone sees an error in the numbers please let me know and I will correct it.

DocEBrown - I checked Japan CAPS and it does not list a PN for the bell housing, gear housing, or end cover.

mikes2nd - Mentor will have the PNs for the front differential ring and pinion gears found in all Japan spec 6 speed transaxles, MR or not. Kormex may have some in stock and will most likely be cheaper. You may be interested in a thread I started about these gears. Check it out.

Gatecrasher - I came across some thing interesting a while ago. Things have gotten too busy for me lately to finish looking into it but maybe you would be interested sense you are looking into different synchro options. The MKIV Supra TTs appearently use the same 1/2 friction ring as our 440/446 trannys. Getrag makes their trannys too. I believe there are some similarities between these trannys and a few Getrags found in BMW applications also. To top it all off, Toyota and BMW have always offered internals for these transmissions unlike Mitsu. If you go to www.supraforums.com find the guy from Champion Toyota in TX.
