Ok I got a word back from my contact in Getrag USA.

Parts for our trannies are available thru Getrag Japan (!), but not as direct resale. Getrag JPN will sell parts to Getrag USA only, and my contact will sell them in turn to us.

This same chap can also do rebuilds for those who prefer not to rebuild their own trannies.

In order to see what the minimum order quantities and prices are we need to come up with a list of needed part numbers and approximate quantities.

Please reply with a part number and the quantity you would be interested in. I do not know about you guys but I am ready to sign up for a few sets of 2/3 gear synchros

I need 2 sets of the 1/2 gear syncro (Inner ring, outer ring, blocking ring) I need them ASAP. How long is the turnover on this?

Will they be willing to sell in bulk to a company, if so a friend and i would be willing to buy a shitload of parts and sell them to the public for a looong time.

There is only one problem with that. We don't know the Getrag part numbers. Can your buddies get a list of all the PNs for these trannys with descriptions? Some thing like CRS's exploded view may be? If so, then have them send me a copy at my e-mail address. SavagTiger@AOL.com It would be nice to know the minimum quantity we would have to order for each part and if the price would change if we ordered a certain amount extra. I know this is a lot of work to due in such short knowtis for them so when ever they can get around to it that's cool.

I'll get up with Gloria and see if she can give me a rough estimate on sales and number of parts sold for these things. I'll get back with you guys and them with any numbers I get from CRS.

This is not a thread to take orders for Getrag. I'll see about getting sales figures from CRS for a rough estimate. Sales shouldn't be a problem. This thread is for getting a way to make a parts supplier for the Getrag 440/446. It would be best to leave the bulk buying up to one company. I have a few in mind at the moment but we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

Heikki - That you so much for your efforts on this. This sounds fairly promissing.

Can your guy cross reference these parts with the original Mitsubishi Japan part numbers? I can pull the entire list out of CAPS if we need to. I can have the syncros as early as tonight. The entire transaxle will take a few days.

I've been meaning to do this for a while anyway

Wow Imust have gotton the last CRS parts recently, showkiller and edgavi rebuild my 1,2 and 3rd synchro.
