[quote=Dflex]There are two different output shaft seals since the 25 and 18 spline has different diameters. MR110306 seems to be for the 25spline and as far as I can see, CAPS gives the same part number for -91 and -95 which obviously can't be right. Does anyone know the partnumber for the 18 spline seal?[/QUOTE

Daniel,

I believe the part# is MB837027 used from the 1st week of April of 1990 to the first week of November of 1991. List price is $25.20 and available from U.S. Dealers.

Though I am backtracking from your part# and don't have access to my jpeg files at the moment to confirm its application. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Howard

BTW- My price is $18.90

Thumbs up Re: Getrag 440/446 parts.

Day 22: I finally have the transmission parts that I need - either on hand, or on the way. Kormex had the parts that CRS did not (thanks, Frank, I know you watch this thread): 18 spline output shaft and 9 bearings.

The rest have finally shipped from CRS. I would rather replace the synchro assembly for 1st and 2nd gear, but CRS does not have the Inner Ring (C48). CRS had all the rest of the parts that usually wear out.

The most worn part of my 160,000 mile transmission was the bearing on the output shaft: the rollers were flattened.

No wonder no one wants to work on these transmissions, they are easy to rebuild but parts are hard to obtain.

I'll post a full chronicle when it's all back together.

Thumbs up Re: Getrag 440/446 parts.

Send me an email: mike21b@dejazzd.com.

If you have a 1991 or 1992 (early models) with 18 spline output shaft, I have a list of all the part numbers that you (probably) need.

As I write this, day 26, the last of my trans parts arrived from CRS just minutes ago.

Exclamation Re: Getrag 440/446 parts.

As far as I know, no one has the COMPLETE parts list - and Getrag cross reference list - for the 5-speed. I've compiled most of it, but don't have Getrag numbers.

The 6-speed lists are more complete.

These transmissions are easy to rebuild, if you have the parts.

mike21b, how much did the 9 bearings from Kormex run you? Not sure if I should replace mine along with the rest of the synchros yet..

Ok Guys If you are not aware I am about ready to do the MR (RobBeck) gearswap. I am looking to see if ANYONE knows what the Transaxle Pinion Preload/endplay (whatever you wanna call it) is so I can confirm its all good before I reassemble. If I get no answer i will have to check my stock arrangement and guestimate which sucks nuts, it will also take a lot of time when I know someone has to have some literature on this. Its for the Getrag 6. Maybe CRS has it?

Thanks to anyone who can answer this,

Rob

Call CRS. They usually have the best prices.
