You may want to make a new post about your problem, sounds like it could be something that is easier to fix.

I know everyone is worried about the tranny and parts and what not. But I really dont think it is that horrid of a problem. There are alot of other options no one is commenting on. Like tranny conversions. I mean the awd tranny in our cars is a all in one unit with a not so well desined transfer case. Other then that its bassically the same as all other awd cars. I am not saying it would be cake, but if I ever blow the tranny and cant get parts I will figure a way to do a swap even if I have to make it rwd instead of awd. Haveing imporved parts and maybe some nice case bands would be great, but if we lose these trannys it wont take long for some of us to figure out a solution. Alot of stuff has been figured out/made by the ppl here. So don't think its the end of our cars. Maybe just a newpath.

Tooling/molds/metalurgy/etc would be a pretty expensive path to take to make these ourselves. We really need to hope Getrag keeps production up on these, or else we are screwed.

The parts issue looks to be solved for the most part thanks to Mentor Mitsu and his "very special order parts".
Thanks again buddy! Anything we can't get through CRS or Kormex we should be able to get through him at his dealership. It may take a while for shipping but we can get them.If any one has questions about what parts to order feel free to get up with me. My contact info is in my sig. It may take me a while to get back to you but I will get back to you. Mentor Mitsu - How about posting one last time the best way to get up with you about ordering some tranny parts. I'm sure every one would appreciate it.

Ok anyone know the easiest place to get driveaxle and output shaft seals and at what cost? Does the Mits dealer have the ability to get those since its such a service item or does this still fall under CRS, Kormex, or M&M?
Thanks, Rob |

You can get those three plus the cap on the back of the input shaft from CRS for around $30 total last I checked. CRS seems to be the cheapest place for seals, bearings, and synchros. (With the exception of the inner blocker ring for 1/2 of course sense they no longer offer it.) Be sure to factor in shipping though.
