Grant,

Not a pain at all. This could be good for everyone(except the competors cars that you beat-LOL). Though it depends on what pricing and delivery time I can come up with.

I've sent you an email

Thanks,
Howard

My synchro ring has a # on it... 216SSF078, any chance that is a Getrag #?

For the record, I'm using a Japanese market version of CAPS. I guess Mitsu doesn't think these transaxles are "too complex" for their super-special Japanese technicians to handle

Rob,

There is an excellent chance that is what it is as long as Getrag made the part themselves. If they sub-contracted it out it could be there vendors part#.

If its doesn't start with an M almost always its our vendors part#
I say almost since on some new models(Evo & such) some Mitsu #s start with numbers ex: 64100123AB the last 2 digits I believe deal with color.

The old school cars like the 3K GT & GSX should follow the M routine.

Also I stated in a previous post that I was waiting for price and delivery info.
Well I do have some delivery info that I can post but I'm still waiting on price.
As I mentioned these parts will be VERY special order as they are not purchased through my New Jersey PDC, but paper is shuffled somehow so I can get them through Mitsubishi.

I ran 4 of Gatecrashers syncro #s and all came up as available as I mentioned before.
Delivery for just a couple of pieces (1 or 2) is 3 to 4 weeks as they ship from Japan buy boat.
Quantities of 10 or more will be 90 days since stock is not readily available (read production run required).
All parts are Non Cancellable and Non-Returnable as they are not officially sanctioned by Mitsubishi.
If we do this right it shouldn't be a problem. Just have to get it right the first time.
Also I wouldn't recommend even thinking of Next Day Air as an option unless you have the World Nationals on the line as normal parts are 15% of there price and I didn't want to think of this situation. But if it is needed by someone I will inquire.

I want to also be honest regarding cost. Being considered a "Stealership" is not my goal considering my first post on the subject shows email time of around 2:46AM EST(to my work from home). I was actually up till around 5:00AM reading each post and doing what research I could from home.
(I have CAPS and my Mitsu Extranet(direct link) connection.)Followed buy a 13 hour day at Mentor Mitsu & apparently still going. This is mostly my dime and my time cuz I'm not on the clock(but its more FUN than looking up sparkplugsfor my Techs-LOL)

Mitsubishi Employees pay cost plus 10% for there parts. I charge on all (but things like complete transmissions & engines and some accessories) cost plus 20% on my website. 10% is considered the break even point based on stocking & non-stocking items (a combination of the 2) so I hope 10% over that does not offend anyone. If a group purchase could be arranged I will try to help more it depends on the #s.

Please don't think that I will pillage and plunder on the trans, eng, & certain acc.
Trademotions price matrix won't let me properly adjust these items as of yet.
Currently they only deliver a 6.4% margin which obviously I can't do. Hence the disclaimer almost all at 25% off list. I do cut a better( read lower ) than 20% over cost deal though.

Please email with any advice, questions or concerns that we might need to think of. My work and home email are in this thread.

Thanks,
Howard

Indeed oh "King Of CAPS" but they have Johnny Sokko and when he is not tuning Giant Robot and fighting Zoltar he is Blueprinting there damn transmissions-

But on a serious note: If my Mitsubishi Madman decoder ring won't get me a look at this version of CAPS what will?

Maybe something "Fun" like a Kumite perhaps

Really though I'd love to see a copy if possible.

Thanks,
Howard

BTW- Since you have an inside connection: When Johnny is done can you ask him what to do about an ornery T-56 six speed that likes to find gears the bad way at 6500 RPM.

So does this mean you are getting hooked up with trans parts for us? If so, how will the prices compare to our only current option with CRS? My 4th gear synchro ring was $47 plus shipping from CRS (which seems REALLY high but what can I do with having this freak tranny)....

Thanks,
Rob

I was wondering the same thing. Hey, if our synchros are available for $47.00 each plus shipping, i'd pay it without any complaints.
