They will be able to get the roller bearings in the transaxles and TCs so long as you have a number off of the race for them. The only exception is the bell housing side input shaft bearing. These have proven to be very difficult to locate. Find a dealer near you. They were much cheaper than most vendors and are an authorized distributor for Timken and Torrington bearings. Here are the numbers for the roller bearings. All are the same for both 5 speeds (440) and 6 speeds (446) except for the counter shaft bearing on the end cover side. Most parts stores such as Auto Zone can also get these bearings. Getrag Rebuild Manual - 5 and 6 speed models - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center End update I just got off the phone with Gloria at CRS. They no longer have in stock several of the Getrag 440/446 parts that many of us need and she tells me even more parts will become hard to find. The reason? CRS is not a parts supplier but a remanufacturing company under contract with Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi asked them to sell us parts so we wouldn't have to buy a new $6K transaxle. (Not a financial option for a lot of us.) CRS has been a wonderful help (as well as Kormex) but unfortunately they can only do so much for us. They don't have any plans on ordering more parts to keep in stock because they rebuild so very little of them. (Mitsubishi gets very few orders for "new" transaxles.) Six thousand dollars will total most cars out there. If not then it leaves the owner no choice but to part out the car. When this happens Mitsubishi and Getrag do not make any money. If they offered parts Getrag could make money off of selling parts to us and the dealership and Mitsubishi could make money off of parts mark up and labor. But if we have to part out or total our car and get a new one neither Mitsubishi or Getrag make money. Their is money to be made here guys. Where there is money to be made there is an oppertunity for us to get a parts supplier. Any body have any ideas? Can any one in MI get me the number for Getrag's office? Any one know who I have to call on the Mitsubishi side to get the ball rolling?

I have a friend of a friend (engineering drinking buddy in other words) that works for Getrag. I'll get his phone number tomorrow (if possible) and give him a ring...

When I was ordering parts for my rebuild a couple months back I was already having trouble getting certain parts, luckiliy for me what CRS didn't have Kormex did

Dont they primarily deal with the DSM trannies? If so, they are not Getrag are they? I wonder how many similar components the boxes have if they are bot Getrag?

TRE also gets their parts direct from CRS. They have the resources to duplicate some of our more simple parts, but not to the level and price of CRS. Fact is, unless Mitsu gets a contract with someone to get more Getrag parts for us, we are done with DIY major tranny repairs...
