Thanks!

Several of the vendors listed in the first post should have those. I know 3SX has at least the sliders (ask them for the hub and sleeve assemblies) if not all of those parts brand new. Their contact info is in the first post.

^^^ Thanks, but i've asked all of them and no luck on any part

I guess i'm just unlucky.

However, another member PMd me to say he has a used 3rd gear slider, so that's off the list. On to just the 2nd gear parts now!

Theo VR4 - I know we have one of the OEM bearings brand new in stock at 3SX if you are having trouble locating one. We have the alternative number ordered but it has not come in yet. We currently have quite a few new and used parts in stock.
Well I haven't seen any updates to the input shaft ball bearing but I think that the alternative 6405c3 is incorrect as well. Shouldn't it have a recess for the hex bolt?

looks like this on both sides.

The bearing isn't even 25mm ID both bearings I have two from separate cases they are 29.9mm ID. All of the 6405c3s say 25mm. Where did this even come from?

Also they say 574976, the 6 is hard to read but it's there.

Where can I get the correct bearing new?

I don't know why they told you that. I held them in my hand a few days ago. I think we were down to our last 1/2 synchro set, but we had a couple of the 1/2 hub and sleeve assemblys left. PM me your phone number and I'll have them call you if we have them.

We just ran into this same problem about a week ago. I KNOW I saw that number in a tranny. It was an old abused tranny that Kormex had rebuilt year ago. So I thought they have found it. But perhaps they are take these bearings and machining them to fit? Give Kormex a call and see what they say and if they have any for sale. I'll do the same. We put in an order from Japan for the OEM ones. We do currently have several of these OEM bearings in stock, used, but it great shape. If you are interested then give us a call. I will be at the shop almost all day this Friday. I will also update that bearing info on the first page.

Oh I guess I never thought about that, the center section does look like it has enough material to be machined to the right size. At any rate thanks for updating that; I was lucky in that Applied gladly let me return the unused bearing but others may not be depending where they source em. I checked the bearing in the spare case I have and it is in much better condition so I'm just going to use that. I also brought it into applied and had them take a look and said it seemed like new (figured they know their stuff). Thanks for the offer though.

If they are machining these to fit I wonder if there are any cost benefits vs ordering from overseas. Do you still have that bearing?

Nope. It's in a customers tranny. It was good when I went through it so I left it in there.
