I just wanted you guys to know that for AWD trannies, its not possible to use a RPS MAX PP and a SPEC stage 3 disk together. The clutch will not disengage fully from gear properly.

what, you removed it all those times and didn't pull your trusty caliper and depth gauges to check clearances ??
LOL Just kidding buddy. I was just remembering what Adam said when you finally got this resolved. How would one even know unless you knew the installed distance from the pressure plate fingers to the flywheel after it was bolted on or stuck a ball of clay in there? Just knowing the new material disc was fatter doesn't tell you how much room is left for the diaphragm to operate correctly. The bright side is that you can do this, with or without help in about 20 minutes, now that you developed a system for it, and now no one else has to suffer if they do a search. Its NOT a crazy assumption that every part would be made to exact OEM specs and not designed ONLY to work as an assembly. Sam |
