Default Does this output shaft look ok?

Supposedly the guy said its the 300m output shaft, im not sure if there is any way to check this

I would be weary due to all of the rust, that is part of the metal breaking down. It should have been lubricated.

The output shaft? lubricated with what? i guess the shop i had do my transmission last time didn't :0/

Other than being rusty, it looks to be in ok condition. It does look like it has a bit of wear on it though. As for being 300M, I don't know how to tell.

is there a step up from the shaft to the splines? If there is it is 300m. 300m rusts worse than normal, so greasing the shaft is very important.

Your parts are still good though. notice how the splines on both the transfer case and the shaft are like a trapezoid? If they were more like a triangle they would be very worn. Clean your parts up and grease them and you'll be good to go.

Boostaddict uses silicone based lubricant on moving parts such as the output shaft and input spool.

if not widely available high temp axle grease works also.

That's what mine looked like, clean and worn . I haven't installed mine yet, but I got it from ebay from manstrans. Output shaft and coupler 335.00 shipped. Best price anywhere.
