i sorta had the same problem with mine. but in my case the slave went out. and its still not like how it was before. even after installing a new clutch. although i will admit in the begining the clutch felt great. but after about 500 miles on the clutch i thought it was time to do a hard launch and i guess something adjusted or changed because now the pedal feels weird. like i only have to push the pedal like 3 inchs in and it disengages the clutch. and it feels like the clutch is weak now. like ok say i want to take off fast. well in order to do that i gotta push the clutch in and then pull my foot back fast, so pretty much dropping the clutch hard. in doing so i feel it grab and hold. but if i easy into it. its like its on ice or something. i mean it still grabs but not like it did before with the stock clutch in. and the clutch thats in it now is a southbend stage 2. rated for like 500 lb TQ
i'm thinking it all needs re greased inside the tranny where all the clutch and moving parts touch, like the splines and bearings and fork and well you get the idea. cuz i can see how it gets hot and could get stuck and not sliding on the spline shaft all the way. and i guess it might change the range that the pedal has to move in and out to touch the clutch. but i'm not 100% sure on that seeing as the clutch is hydrolic. but i dunno. something to think about.
oh and there is a clutch damper. also if you need a pdf file of our transmissions you can download it here from my server.
