Angry Clutch slipping, need help

Hi,

I thought I had burnt up my clutch because it gradually started slipping in all gears till the car would not move anymore.
I bought a new stage 2 South Bend clutch kit (TZ series) and my nephew installed it. The car still slips and barely moves, so now I'm not sure if the clutch was even the problem.

Here is some info:
- The old clutch did not look bad, pressure plate ok
- My nephew said that only the front wheels were spinning when it was on the lift, after the clutch was in. Is this normal for an AWD car?
- The car moves a little bit in 1st gear and reverse, but there's a lot of slipping
- There is a definite strange noise when I rev the engine in gear
- The clutch pedal feels normal and I can shift fine.
- Since the clutch gradually slipped worse over 3 days till it would not engage, I'm assuming it's not gears or something that just broke.

Questions:
- Is it possible the clutch is not installed correctly? My nephew has done a lot of clutches, but never 3000GT or any AWD.
- Could it be the fly wheel?
- Is it possible something is not adjusted correctly such that the clutch won't engage the flywheel?
- How can I determine what the problem really is?

I would appreciate any help

Thanks,
Dave.

I wonder if your output shaft snapped going to the transfer case, or stripped out, if you changed the clutch he sshould know by looking at the transfer case. Just a thought.

Venetrex,
Thank you for the quick reply

Would the output shaft go out or strip gradually? Would it slip more and more until it went out completely?
Is there a way to determine if the output shaft is the problem without dropping the transmission again?

Thanks again for your input.
Dave.
