I can definitely relate. My car is paid for so I'm not going anywhere for a loooooong time. I tell people "I've owned my car for 3 years, going on 300"

As your IDCs increase as you turn up the boost, your ECU is going to retard the timing. I'm curious to see where timing starts to take power away, if at all - and what the magic SAFC settings turn out to be.
It's only going to retard if I get knock. I don't remember off the top of my head what timing was, however I do remember it was fine, i wasn't loosing power and the ECU wasn't pulling any timing.

Don't mean to throw this thread off the tracks - sorry! but I was under the impression that the ECU will base timing on IDCs. The lower the IDC, the more timing you'll get. The higher the IDC, the less timing you'll get. And then timing pulled due to knock is a completely separate issue. That's why, I thought, people running huge injectors on low boost with no timing control knock in the first place - wayy too advanced timing from the low IDCs. But it's not like 550's are too big - they're perfect for your power - so it's probably a mute point. Just curious, that's all!

Hmm, i didn't know that about IDCs. Where did you hear that from? All I know is I wasn't getting any knock so it's all good
