#1 Cost, just shipping the tranny back and forth was a fortune
#2 We found some parts in the tranny we were not happy about, call us if you want the scoop. I won't post about it here.
#3 We wanted to start building them in house since we are getting calls and emails about having it done.

It is the one that IPT went through. We have changed out several parts and changed some of the critical measurements as well. There are a few other things we are looking into right now, but that is all I can say at the moment. We want to make sure our ideas work before we go telling every one about them.

Any updates on 3sx's decision on marketing the auto awd? Id like to have a mildly built auto done-up for one of my cars to handle maybe 400-450awhp for a bracket racing car, i dont want it to be really fast... just consistant and fun to drive. Maybe the low 12 to high 11 second range. If you guys do decide to build and sell them, would it be possible to have 3sx install it and get the bugs worked out too?

*cough* i still think 3sx should sell a conversion kit... and maybe do stages for certain power levels. I would much rather purchase everything from you guys than attempt to piece everything together myself from some ebay company *cough*

We used a JDM ATX AWD Transaxle.
The OEM clutch packs are probably beefy enough for anyone here.
The Torque convertor should get redone at Hughes out in AZ. They are the bomb.
Get a shift kit.

We kept snapping the input shaft when shifting into 4th.
But we were running around 800-900 AWHP at that time.
I think anyone else in a normal setup would be fine.

also another question i have is how would i wire up the shift switch setup? is there any possibility of sketching up a diagram or sorce one for me? some one said that the internalls of the jdm awd atx is the same as the dsm atx awd so does this mean that parts are interchangeable to a certin extent?
