Plus for the power I will make it is either a spec 5 that is not street friendly or a 3,000 dallar rps carbon. I have not got a quot for a auto yet but 3 grand has to be on hell of a start! lol

A built auto and torque converter will run you $6k.

I didn't spend as much on my ATX setup, but then I am not running as much power as the T4 yet. The full treatment from IPT is about 3 grand and with all the trimmings maTT is right in so far as the price of a fully built auto.

i,m interested in this but was just looking for a faster acceleration from my standard car.would a shift kit and high stall torque converter be enough
i had my full autobox rebuilt about 4k ago and have a 13 row cooler fitted but am going to fit a 19 row cooler.just wanted to know what is best to buy for that extra overtaking power.(and dont say tt it )

that won't get you "all" the trimmings at IPT.
Custom front LSD is $1000 itself. TC is $1000. Then there is a shift kit, full rebuild, some oil pump upgrades etc.

and to correct bret, the AEM for the 3S can not control the ATX. It's not an available function nor is AEM going to offer it.

You guys pretty much had your tranny built from the ground up as your car is an all out race car. The average DSMer and the average Joe does NOT do this, they modify what they have. ALL becomes a relative statement when comparing a race car to a street car

"ALL" the trimmings are ALL not just some or just racing parts.
Not playing word games, just didn't want someone to think they could have done what we did for $3,000. There is much more to it.

OK so back to the shifting, sense you can’t use the AEM do you guys use a shifter like a ratchet shifter and shift it manual? Or do you use a box like IPT's? Sorry I'm just confused I get different answers from everyone. I can understand that the shifting method of your race car might me confidential until I buy one. Just trying to get everything straight lol.
