Question Any advice? I'm pretty new to this stuff...

When I press hard on the gas, my engine revs up but the car doesn't move like it should. It usually happens on the highway and more so in higher gears. Do I need a new clutch? and if so, could anyone advise me as to what parts I need to buy?
I have a 91 VR-4 with about 72,000k

I would appreciate any help because I am sick of not being able to pass cars like I used to.
Thanks

The clutch is definitely going out. Mine started doing it in 3rd and then second. You will need a throwout bearing, pressure plate and clutch disc minimum. Once you have the engine and tranny separated you can determine if you will need a new flywheel. I recomend you get it all before you start because you may have glazed the stock flywheel and it may wear the new clutch out faster. The old flywheel could also be warped from heat. There are lots of options out there as to what you can get. If you are staying stock HP then don't waste your money on a high rated clutch as it will only hurt your wallet and not help your car perform any better. If you decide to change your flywheel there are lighter than stock flywheels out there which I personally know will help with your top end. Hope the info helps.

Thanks for the help. Say I am a few paychecks behind on getting a new clutch and flywheel, how much time do I have before my clutch blows?
