I think none of the Stealth have it. Neither ECS. That's why it was cheaper.
Speaking of which, do anyone have a link for a AWS delete? I think I want to take mine out. BTW, it's easy to tell if you have AWS or not. Does your car have rear steering rack? You cannot miss it, it's big ![]() |

3000GT VR-4s have had AWS steering since day one. All of them.
The Stealth R/T Twin Turbos also had it up until late '95 and '96 models which had it removed. Any pre-95 Stealth TT and all VR-4s have AWS unless it has been removed by one of the owners. R/T Twin Turbos have also always had ECS since day one just like the VR-4s. Up until '96 anyway. The '99 VR-4s have AWS but it is a slightly different setup according to CAPS than the previous years. Don't really know what the difference is though. *edit*: For the guy looking for a link to a 2WS conversion here ya go. Removing 4WS from my 92 Last edited by Apache : 05-01-2008 at 01:28 PM. |

Holy misinformation...
All VR-4s had AWS. 91-94 Stealth TTs had AWS. 95-96 Stealth TTs did not. The easiest way to tell is by chassis code. Z16 cars have AWS, Z15 cars do not.

I never driven a non AWS turn turbo 3/s, but when you're doing 90+ mph down the interstate and hop over four lanes at once, its really a pleasant experience. The service manual states 1.5 degrees maximum turning. At 50-60 mph, 1.5 degrees isn't enough to do squat, but once you get to 120+, you will feel the difference.
My '92 TT Stealth DOES have ECS AND AWS. They do come with it.

On point two, as VR-4 Rob said, holy misinformation. Mine doesn't have digital climate control either.

Mine scared the shit out of me yesterday when I took an off ramp too fast. The rear was right on the limit of kicking out when the AWS activated and I crabbed around the turn. Cool but really strange feeling. Without it I would have been sliding.
