91 3000gt vr4 trans swap - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

Hello Team! I have a 91 3000gt VR4 and the trans just went. My buddy has a 94 fwd 5 speed trans that he is willing to give to me to get back up and running. I would like to know if the two are swapable? I know the spline count may be an issue but a minor one since I can just pull the output shaft from mine and install it in his tranny. Can anyone of you tell me if this will work? Taking a 91 vr4 tranny out and swapping it with a 94 sl fwd 5speed tranny?

No, the trannys are completely diffrent inside, and it would make your car FWD only.

Ok kewl...thanks Guys. I guess ima have to get with Kormax and spend$1700 on the one he has.
