6speed tranny GTO

hey guys i have an issue with my tranny, its not going into reverse and as far as i know it wont go in 5th or 6th either and 2nd to 3rd grind a bit going into gears, its parked in my driveway becausei have a steed downhill driveway i cant get it out without towing it out i just need your thoughts on it i`m thinking its the shift cables stretched but im open to any thoughts i need it fixed asap

i had the same problem with my stealth with 5sp. wouldnt go into 5th and revearse. i just had to change the trans. but best luck withya in finding this out!

well i should have edited this... it goes into 5th and 6th fine now shifting from 3rd to second grinds unless i jam it in to 2nd really fast.. reverse is like a 50/50 chance it will actually get in gear and not grind... i have no idea what to do..

change fluid, make sure the shifter is aligned correctly (sitting central etc)
