info: from underneath the car, the gear oil is comin down the back of the tranny, straight down the line of where the tranny and bell housing bolt up.

Unfortunately it sounds like the seal thats leaking, is the seal between the center case and the bell housing.
You will have to remove the transmission, take off the bell housing, and reapply the seal.

Is it actually transmission fluid, or engine oil? If its engine oil its probably your rear main seal, which will require you to drop the tranny again. Otherwise it could possibly be that your input shaft is leaking if its tranny fluid.

If you can do a clutch....You can do this seal. Very simple once the tranny is out. Just make sure that once the tranny is out and apart you wipe down both sealing areas, first with a clean rag then with some rubbing alky or brake cleaner. Once that is done follow the directions on the sealent itself. make sure you use "THE RIGHT STUFF" it is a brand of sealents.
