Default 5spd syncro fork question

Does everyone else have this on their 1st/2nd gear syncro fork shaft? It's a spacer-like thing to prevent the shaft from wobbling around with the bell housing on. Problem is, mine hits the bell housing, preventing it from going into 1st gear.

Default Re: 5spd syncro fork question

That is the shift rod bushing, not spacer. It belongs in the housing not on the rod. It has popped out of where it belongs. If it continues to pop out, roughen up the surface of the hole it belongs in, put a VERY THIN coat of JBWeld on the the roughened walls and put it back in place. You can even spread it open just a TAD before tapping it back into place to help secure it.

And no, you are not missing bushings in all the other holes.
