The bad thing is that i have spent money in assembling it but i will try to charge it to my mechanic in order to do the work for free.

The good thing is that i have tested his honesty and trustness in him.

Thanks again and i stop talking, i´ve been doing it so much.
Hey - that is good to hear. I'm glad that the company admitted there was a problem - hopefully you can work something out with your mechanic. It does sound like he is a good guy and hopefully he doesn't get screwed over too.

Anyway, let us know how it works out!

Do you talk to the transmission supplier by telephone or by email?
If you can, keep a record or some evidence that they have admitted that they were at fault.

Since they were at fault, and you were not aware at the time, they should pay your mechanic for the work that he did installing the wrong part.

I would not put too much blame on your mechanic since he may not have been aware of the difference, or why the two transmissions were not the same.
