I will look into it this weekend. I am also wanting to build a whole drive train for this car. I am not sure where to start aor wich route to go. I want high horse power like anyone else lol. Any ideas on how I should set this up? and where to find doner drive train to work on or should I just buy new?

I'm running BG Synchroshift in my 6-Speed and it occassionally yelps at me going into 3rd. And this is with my new tranny. My old one would do it going into 2nd sometimes. I think the problem is just that the synchros can't line up fast enough sometimes. My buddy's '91 R/T TT sometimes does it on 4th for him. Maybe just a design flaw?

Worn out synchronizers for the most part. The only other probability would be the clutch not disenguaging far enough between shifts. They used friction material for their synchronizers, which work better than anything else when they're new, but the problem is that they wear out. As that friction material gets thinner and thinner the more crunch you're going to get.
I have 80W90 conventional valvoline gear oil in my transmission and it works pretty well. But I think it may be better to just go with a thinner oil, such as 20W50 engine oil. The way it is right now, if I start my Stealth and start driving it right away, when I push the clutch in to coast to the stop sign at the end of my road, it feels like the parking brake is dragging. Also, 2nd gear goes in with a hint of a crunch noise. I lifted the car in the air to look for any possible binding of the driveline. Everything spins smoothly, even by hand. I am blaming it on the 80W90 being a viscous jake brake when it is cold, but that doesn't even seem quite right. Once the engine/transmission are warmed up, the car coasts like any other car, and the shift crunch noise is gone and it shifts like butter. If I do it again, I am going to try 20W50 oil or similar.

Could be the friction rings, inner rings, or dog teeth on the gear and Hub. Or all of the above.

I guess the thicker gear oil could be to blame when it's cold. I know that my dad's old '74 Ford F-250 will actually creep if it's in first with the clutch in since the lube in that thing is REALLY thick. But once mine gets warmed up it shifts super smooth.
