Default 25 spline conversion 92vr4

I have a 92 vr4 and would like to do a 25spline conversion. I got a 25spline TC sitting on my shelf right now. I need to buy the output shaft, but what else will I need?

well I wouldnt go buy build date because the build date they gave out was suppost to have 92 as 25 spline but didnt. Best way is to pull your TC and count the splines. Any perticular reason you want to change to 25? You can get upgraded 18 splines that will hold well over 800awhp. Basicly you will need to either get a diff bellhousing or bore yours out. A diff VCU, and another part I cant remember what its called. All that along with your TC. Now you sure you want to go through all that work?

Nope! But Ill look into stonger 18 spline sets ups thanks....Now I have a 25 spline TC lying around.

Update! I just checked my TC on the car and it looks like it already has the 25 spline. A felow 3s owner told me if the TC has a fluid check level bolt near the center of the case that has the getrag logo then its a 25 spline. Well mine has the bolt.

Check out NBT, they have stronger 25 spline shafts.....seeing as a 18 is made out of the same stuff as 25.

Unfortunately a fluid-check bolt in the cover does NOT necessarily mean it is a 25-spline. Later model 18-splines also had the bolt. It does signify a larger bearing on the internal "spool", but could be either 18 or 25.

As far as I know the only way to know for sure is to pull the case.
