Default Turbo vs Naturally Aspirated

So, I'm at that point in my stealth's life were I am trying to decide what to do with it. I'm not selling it but I am trying to decide which direction I want to go with it.

Turboing it would be nice. I found a stock 3000gt turbo with all of the accessories (twin turbos and manifolds, twin innercoolers, and all the piping from a stock dodge steath with the 3.0 DOHC motor...also a 3in performance downpipe) but im not a fan of turbo lag and of all of the things i will have to do in order to have it in perfect running shape, ie harnesses, bottom end rebuild, etc.

However, going the NA route would allow me better response and I can tune it to how I want it, but it would be more expensive in the long run.

So, my question is, which route would be the better one to go? Money isnt an issue since its not something that can possibly happen over night but over months and years. Should I be like everyone else and convert an NA R/T to a RT/TT or should I keep it as an NA and make it a complete monster? That is the question!

I'd go with the turbo conversion. You can easily spend more money by going the all-NA route, and your car still won't make as much power (unless you are spraying NO). TT conversions are pretty routine now, and there are plenty of people to answer questions along the way. Try finding someone who has gone with ITBs, or knows what cam profile would best suite it.

Also, turbo lag is almost non-existant with 9Bs.

If you keep the NA engine for the conversion, you will feel no difference in your launch. You sure will when they kick in though.

Which, when you think about it, is somewhat of a good thing for a FWD car. Less torque at launch = less chance of lost traction.

Tell me about it, the extra power isn't really usable until 3rd gear.
