Tranny locked up =( - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

My tranny locked up on me last weekend

and im not sure what to do next. I was just pulling it out of 5th gear and heard a thump and then it was all over from there. Right now its stuck in second gear and wont budge.

Is anybody familiar on where to get a rebuild around here or get a new tranny installed? I want to get one installed in good working condition for peace of mind. I tried to call seth(toddrs3) and left a message but he hasn't got back to me yet, i guess he's pretty busy.

That sucks dude. Personally, I think I'd wait for Seth to respond. As an alternative, you could always ship your tranny off to Jacks' or Kormex.

Just out of curiosity, what does the clutch feel like when you try to change gears? Does the pedal still feel normal?

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. The clutch still feels exactly the same before the tranny locked up.

Seth just got into contact with me so i'm probably going to go with him to get the tranny replaced.

pretty short compared to some of the cars in our shop

or just shipping the trans is possible. We get those from all over the world.
