VLS, linear actuators, possible.

Hey long time no see.
I have to replace my shocks on my vls doors. i am waiting for a responce from vls company to figure how much they want. or if i can buy them localy.
any one know please let me know.

I went around the internet looking at linear actuators.
I would like for the doors to open automatic with the push of a button.

I need help figuring this out.
1. Can i buy one of these actuators and get what i am looking for.
2. will they fit?
3. their weight is 400lb and and go different hights and speed.
4. has any one had experience with this.

1. SKF, very easy to build your own custom actuator, ask for a form or brochure. never called sale center but I sure they can help. The actuators are built in Grafton, WI

2. you will figure out the length you need

3. you will configure your actuator by the weight it needs to push. there are many solutions for height and speeds.

I'm guessing you have import precision/deftracing VLS. Well I think that you might have a problem with using a actuator because the door has to be opened before it can go up. Do some research its your project. Good Luck

You will probably need a (Cat 21) type actuator, You will have to talk to one of our engineer's about this type. cat 21 is a very small actuator that can push a lot of weight. the smallest actuator I have seen come through the shop. I love replying to myself!!!!!!
