Default robo lights - painting

Anyone have any tips on how to paint the housing for the robo-lights mod? I have absolutely no experience so I don't wanna mess this up. Do I need to sand anything down first before I paint?

Ok dude you need to go to autozone/advance auto parts and get Duplicolor "High Temp Engine paint" Get the gloss black, it comes out really nice. When painting, remove the lens and stuff and tape up the parts right behind the lens, then SPRAY AWAY lol. Go for about 4 to 5 coats. Then put it all back together and you are good to go. I chose to paint the whole entire housing gloss black instead of just some of the parts. Here is what mine look like:

Good Luck!

Careful!! There is a right way and lots of wrong ways to separate the housing.

it has been covered here before. Do a search before you start. Otherwise, you might be looking for new lights.

I thought you could only do the robo mod to 94's because of the glass headlights instead of the lexan??

Nightraven you are probably ok. OP, what year is your car?

You are correct. Only the 94's can do the robo mod.
