Default Replacing ECU caps

I got someone who can replace mine, he's a dsm guy. Anyways he has several dsm caps lying around, are the DSM caps the same as ours or are they different?

If there different what would I ask for at radioshack?

Thanks

47uf-50v
100uf-25v

All at 105*C rating.

Default Re: Replacing ECU caps

Do not replace the electrolytic capacitors in your ECU with just any type (DSM). You do not want to replace these with used components.
purchase the type that you need from Digi-key or Jameco electronics. both of these companies offer online shopping convenience.

All required electrolytic capacitors must have radial leads and a temperature range of -50 degrees celcius to +105 degrees celcius.

The tolerance is very important (20%). You won't find caps with 20% tolerance at Radioshack.

Here are the parts needed from Digi-Key Digi-Key Corporation - USA Home Page

qty. 1 47uF @ 50V +/- 20% tolerance (part no. P55570-ND)
qty. 1 22uF @ 50V +/- 20% tolerance (part no. P5568-ND)
qty. 1 100uF @ 50V +/- 20% tolerance (part no. P5540-ND

Best regards, Fastergt

I have had these replaced already. Ofcourse I used new cap's, I didn't mean old caps that where removed from a dsm ecu. These where new cap's that where purchased to replace the one's on a dsm, they are indeed the same one's the dsm's use
