Question Make your own urethane bushings?

Screw Energy Suspension for not making Urethane bushings for our cars.

Here is a link to someone who has made there own bushings using Devcon Flexane 94 Liquid .

http://www.ipass.net/~fieroman/terra...s/bushings.htm

I don't know the dynamics and what would be involved here and if it would work for our cars.

I don't know enough to attempt this myself... but I am very interested.. there is play in my steering wheel and It seems that it has to do with the worn bushings.. and I don't think I want to put the mitsu ones back on it so they can wear out and rape me again. If anyone is brave enough or is willing to guide me through it I would love to do this

Default I hear you buddy

It doesn't look too hard except that it would be a bit time consuming. I know there has to be someone on this board that would like to make this a good business opportunity because the profit margin is high.

I know some of you here make performance mods and interior fittings. Here is something everyone needs considering the high mileage of our cars.

Imagine, stiffer than stock bushings that will give us a nice tight ride.

I cant believe they make urethane bushing kits for POS cars but not ours.

Yeah.. well we all know that they make a hell of a lot more riced out POS cars than ours hence seeing one to burn on every block .. poor little buggers

Thumbs up Thanks Jim Floyd

I just Emailed them:

I would like to know if you would be interested in making control arm bushings for the Dodge Stealth/ Mitsu 3000gt. No other company makes them and It would be a profitable endeavor if your company would make them for us. Please check out www.3si.org. We are a huge community that can easily be marketed if you were to make suspension parts for us. Thank you for your time

If it is control arm bushings you are after contact Steve at 3SX Performance. I sent him one of our control arms for him to use as an example. See how he is doing on them.

If John shows any interest let me know and I can send him a set too.

I was planning to get sway bars form 3sx that already comes with urethane bushings. So Im good there.
If 3sxperformance is interested in making the control arm bushings then good for us.

I don't think people here understand the importance of having urethane bushings. Looks like they spend more time on the way the car looks(RICE) rather than on the performance. Its going to be funny seeing a floppy jalopy Rice 3s because the owner did not get his priorities in order.

I'll be interested to see where this goes.

I spent some time on the phone with Energy Suspension, Prothane and Quickor a couple of years ago. Energy Suspension wouldn't give me the time of day. Prothane was polite but declined. Quickor (who builds the rear sway bar that 3sx sells) was thinking about it but not any time soon. At that time I did not contact Saner.

I'm looking forward to upgrading the sway bars. Right now it has to wait. Too many other things that have already had the money spent on them and a couple I have to finish doing.

I would definately like to see the availability of Urethane bushings. I've done basically all the handling upgrades except the sway bars and the bushings.

Thanks for pushing this.
