Default Interior Conversion

I have searched but have not found any info on this. I have a 91 vr4 and I also have a almost new interior out of a 98. As anyone every did this conversion? I am trying to decide if it is worth it or not. Anyone have any takes on this. Should/Can it be done? Is it worth it? If not anyone want a 98 interior?

All the necessary instructions can be found at stealth316.com. The hardest part should be the dash. If you have definite signs of wear in your current interior, I would go for it. Are you switching colors or anything like that? If not, I would just swap in the pieces that need replacing and sell the rest.

It's just time consuming, nothing hard to do. Make sure you look at a manual or stealth316.com for where some of the bolts are, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why some stuff wouldn't come off and oops...hidden bolt.

Most of these are fairly straightforward. Having the factory manuals is a big help, as it gives the order of disassembly, which is not always as obvious as it may seem.

I've disassembled the door panels, and the most difficult part was finding a place to put all the retaining clips and assorted screws so I didn't drop or lose them. If you take your doors apart, it's a good time to check to see if the "waterproof film" is intact, to prevent leaks. If it has come loose or is damaged, goo it back up or replace it.

Be extremely careful with the air bags, don't drop them or allow them to be accidently stepped on or handled roughly.

See i have had the interior out of my pervious 3kgts but i cant decide if it is worth the swap or not. I am looking at a whole day of work just for a black interior. my 91 vr4 only has 62k on it so the interior is in great shape, But i thought it would be cool to have the black 2nd gen stuff in there. Either way i am going to be selling an entire interior. So that isnt a big deal. Just which one do i want to let go. Do you know of anyone who has done it?
