Well the guy before me hotwired the fan to the ecu wire
, so after fixing that mess I need to find a nice place to hook it up to. I am thinking of just having the power for the fan come from an aux power source in the engine bay to a fuse to a switch (just incase I need to stick my fingers close to it while the cars running) then to the fan. I dont need the switch in the cabin, its more of a liability there anyways so I might as well put it in the engine bay. Where would be a good aux power source I could use? Thanks

Well I could even use a relay if I needed to, thats cheap enough. Maybe that would be a better way to go then I wouldent have to worry about overloading the source wire.
I unfortunatly wont have time tonight to take a look at it but tomorrow I will. In the mean time if someone has a suggestion for a convienient wire I could use that is always on to hook the relay to it would make it easier for me .Thanks again |

Under Construction
|
I just installed flexalite fans and I am having trouble with the rad fan. I connected the two motor wires (positive and negative) to the old switch wires and have the other two wires left over (since their were a total of 4 wires for that switch). Instead of leaving those two wires disconnected, I joined them with the motor wires and now whenever I plug it in, the fan turns on and stays on. I know...this is my second time messing with fans...can someone please tell me how to get fix this issue so my rad. fan can turn on normally.
Thanks |
