well, after a week of working on my car whenever i could (probably twenty-something hours total) i finally got my car up and running again. I basically just had to track where the EVS wires went and remove them, then reconnect the OEM wires. It started to get difficult when i ran into some brown wires that ran to a relay behind the fuse block. The wires they were replaced with were two different blue ones, so I pretty much guessed on which one went where and I was actually right Thanks everyone for the advice. The only problem that I have now is that the dome light and trunk light don't work. I guess I'll have to find the fuse or relay for them and see if I blew it from removing and reconnecting of the negative battery cable so much.

Well, it's a success. I blew fuse #19 (which is for the a/c controls, dome light, cargo light, radio, and many other things). Once I replaced that, everything worked just perfect. If anyone has a Mopar EVS and has questions about the uninstall, feel free to PM me. It was a learning experience for me, which took many many hours to figure out (and don't plan on a dealership giving you any help whatsoever, because I called two dealerships and both of them said they had wiring diagrams but wouldn't even let me see them )...but to someone that already got advice on the location of everything and which wires to cut and splice, it would probably end up being a little over an hours worth of work.

Thanks again to everyone that helped me out with this......

Anyone ever figure out which wire needs to be splied for a 2nd gen? My alarm doesn't function properly; I need to disable it. I can't even lock my door as when I unlock it the alarm goes off until I disconnect the battery.

2G has a different alarm than 1G. There is a $20 switch on the back of your lock cylinder that's not working. MR138647 How about unlocking the passenger door first to see if that switch is working and shuts the alarm off?

Is it the white or yellow plastic round thing with 3 wires coming from it that attaches around the back of the keylock? I just checked it and the green wire pretty much came apart. It looks loose/old.

Thank you for this guide! My alarm was driving me crazy- it would go off randomly when I opened the driver's door with the key, and sometimes wouldn't turn off until I disabled the battery. Disabling the alarm was an enormous relief.

I have a 1994 3KGT VR4 and when i lock it it seems fine, the light stays on for 20 sec like the manual says and if it does go off it shuts off in 3 min like the manual says. my problem is it goes off randomly as if the wind is hitting it wrong. just wondering if the grounding fix stated for the Gen1 will work on this model or do i need to look into this more? PLEASE HELP O.o

Sounds like you need to bend the hood sensor back up

Or, just disconnect it.
