this might be a dumb question but I want to be positive before I buy my HID kits....can I make both my lows and highs HID, without messing anything up?

Depends what year you are. If you are 94+ then you can just plug in a HID low kit. If you're 91-93 then you want to get a bi-xenon kit. A bixenon bulb has a reflector and a controller which changes the angle of the light so that you can have high beams too.

What he said. Get a bi-xenon and you should be fine. I have it on mine and it looks awesome.
