how does the type r compare to the type s (i know its supposedly better)?
any noticeable difference? in power or sound?

Nothing massive. It sounds a little louder and sharper when it releases but its not a big difference. I haven't noticed a power change but I haven't been over 21.5psi so the Type-S still should have sealed up there no problem.

Only good thing I can see is peace of mind. With the "stiff" spring in the Type-R I know I can push 30+ psi when the time comes without it leaking.
