Default CAN'T turn off Rear Windshield Wiper (how does the switch work!?!)

The switch for my rear windshield wiper is not working, it won't switch off from the ON state. When I try to push the button in, it won't go in on the left side, which I'm guessing is the problem. I pulled the plastic piece off completely and it is not an obvious switch. Does anyone know how these work? How can I turn the windshield wiper off? (The plastic switch part must be mechanical since its still going even when I pulled it off)

Those switches are TOTAL SHIT.
Mine broke in my 94 VR4 and I barely used it.
I think if you unplug the connector on the back the wiper will go off.

Bob.

My active exhaust switch broke too, it refused to budge. Luckily it broke in sport mode. Going to take it all out soon, anyway.

Yeah my button did that not too long ago... I had pull it up and drive around with that damn thing waving for like a week... so I slid one of those fake hands over it.. people got a kick out of that one........ But yeah I finally got really pissed at it and just started jiggling the button and it turned off finally.. but then I just bought a new switch from the salvage yard.......

yeah, the switch looked like a very odd design. When you say "unplug the connector on the back" where would I find such a connector?

You have to pry the entire switch assembly out of the dash (the rear wiper switch and other switch next to it), it's easily unplugged from the back of the switch.

What you also might want to try, is push in the button really hard while moving it to the center position, that's what i had to do before I got a new one.

How do I pry those out? Do I need to take out the whole plastic mold surrounding the buttons?
