Question Can't open Hood???

My tranny blew about a year ago and all 4 wheels are locked,
so its been parked for a while, this spring I went to start it up let it run, so I popped the hood, but I found that the lever had to be pulled really hard to open the hood, so I adjusted it, and it closed and opened relly nice after that. I did it a few times and no problems.
So a couple weeks later I hook the truck up to it and moved (or dragged) the car in the drive way, once it was up there I go to open the hood and it won't open, What's up with that!
body not sitting right maybe ??
I tried pushing on it, pulling up, I don't want to damage the paint. or make dents, I tried grabbing the wire with vice grips (unhooked it from plastic lever) and pulling and nothing

What now??

Anybody ever come across this, I need to get in there to eventually change the transaxle ( i'm also trying to sell the thing, but cant until I can open my own hood)

Any ideas would be appreciated
