Default 3SI Award for ROTY

In my club we recognize participation, dedication, and achievement. Its always nice to be appreciated for all the hard work put into these cars. In regards to ROTY, I think it would be nice to have a plaque or award made on behalf of 3SI for the winner. You know, something to recognize all the hard work and passion put into the winners ride. Then they can show it off at NG's and events like that. Maybe it will promote more 3SI users to strive for perfection so they can win a coveted prize. Maybe we could ask the sponsors to kick in for a lil prize, im sure the winner has purchased more than a few items from each of our sponsors.

Just thinking outloud.

The real question is, would you be asking this if Bob wasn't winning

I think it would be a nice touch regardless as to who was winning. It's not like Bob attends a lot of meets. LOL

I agree, a good plaque will cost under a hundred bucks, the sponsors have made a good bit more off the winner I'm sure. Also seeing their products on ROTY is kinda like advertisement so surely they'll make more off a new customer b/c their products are on ROTY. If a few sponsors each kicked in a few bucks to come up with a prize im sure in the long run will come out ahead.

No denying that Tommy! I was just ribbing JL, but I think one of those cool crystal sculptures with the design of a person's year/make would be an awesome little award. You know the kind it is shaped like a diamond with white etching? I think Lori had picked something like this out for Dom's family.

Well please dont misconstrue my intentions here. I just thought it would good for overall 3SI morale and help build some aspirations to keep the platform going. As far as advertising, prizes, discounts and all that other money stuff.. thats not my department but keep in mind if these businesses weren't making money, we wouldnt have cool parts.

2nded 3rded 4thd and 5th, plus anything after.

Hell, I'd take just a decal with the all the participating sponsor's names on it. Not as nice to take home as the crystal, but hell, we all talk about ricer's with decals they don't even run. For my money, I'd rather a small, nicely done small sticker saying something along the lines of " 3si Sponsors ROTY award "

I mean, from what i read, most of us hate badges (I might be wrong here).

That gives you not only the option to display it, but if you choose, display it on the CAR. Plus, cost is pretty minimal. Just my 2 cents.
