Angry More shit to spend money on :-(

Well.... This morning I woke up to a quite "pleasant" surprise... My window seal would trickle when it would rain really hard, but I never saw it as an issue... This morning I woke up, headed off to class, and I heard a "sloshing" sound in my back seat behind the driver seat... So I pulled over in a parking lot, and sure enough I had about 1 1/2 inches of water sitting in the floorboard. To make matters worse, my alternator was sitting in the water, and some other items. I took out the alternator quickly, and ran to mcdonalds, got a good chunk of napkins and slapped em in there. They didnt help much, but I will dry it out when I get home..

I did some research to buy an upper window seal, and to my surprise, they were about 90 bucks at 3sx which really kinda seems crazy... Does anyone have a spare one or one they dont use? Also should I be worried about my alternator?

-Jon

Just havent had time to put it on, and I dont have anywhere else to store it. And it was used, but it worked when I went to advanced to have it checked. I am going to make sure again today to make sure it works.

Thats beside the fact, I can easily get another one for 35 bucks, unlike these window seals. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap one?

that sucks, i know how ya feel though, my car never had a leak issue, but the other night i got in my car and everything was dry and the i put my seatbelt on, and it was soaking wet. I could ring water out of it, the carpet and everything is dry that was a big WTF moment.

Just make sure the alternator is dried out well and you will probably be fine. gotta think people wash their engines and stuff and generally dont have issues

the alt will be fine, yeah the window seals are insane but there is no other choice than buying factory parts(what 3sx has)
