Hey guys, just trying to get the word out about my new SC car forum. At the moment I'm wanting to build a member base and get some content on the board. The regional subforums are geared more towards the Upstate, but any SC car guy (or girl) is welcome to join, and if we get enough members from other parts of the state, I'd be happy to add a subforum for them. In any case, register and let me know what you think.
www.SCAutos.net
so wait, your FIRST thread after joining the forums TODAY is an advertisement for your new forum. wtf dude
Yes, I did post this thread not long after registering, though it wasn't today, and yes I'm trying to get the word out about my new forum. If you're upset about me being so "new", well, I could troll around and comment here and there, but what would the point of that be? I'm not starting a 3si forum, it's a forum for anyone from SC to get together and meet with other SC car enthusiasts, so it's not like it's in competition with this board. Instead of just talking to other 3si owners in SC, you can now also talk to a variety of different owners, be it domestic, import, or euro.
i have nothing wrong with you starting a new forum, or even posting on here about it. But out of your 3 posts (as of when i made that comment) two of them were about the new forum. To me it seems like you only joined to advertise. Do you have a 3000 or stealth? have a friend with one? know anything about them? what is your connection to this forum other than "its a car club"? you see where im coming from dont you?
Honestly I don't. First, it's not advertising. I'm not trying to sell anything to anyone and I don't have any products or get rich schemes. And no, I don't have a 3kgt or Stealth, I have a Mazda RX-7. I belong to numerous car forums, some of them devoted to one model in particular, like RX7Club.com, and wouldn't mind at all if someone started a state car forum, where one didn't exist before, and wanted people to know about it.
Am I going to stick around? Probably not if you're required to own a 3000GT/Stealth to do so, or will be looked down upon for not owning one. I started out with a boosted rotary, so I know about turbo systems and heat. I have one of the best handling sports cars ever made, so I know about suspension, tires, and aero. I now have an LS-1 that's been transplanted in, so I know about N/A modifications.
If the fact that I don't have a high post count is a problem, feel free to quit bumping this thread and I'm sure it'll go away. I'm not trying to spam, I just wanted people in SC to know that there was finally a place for them to go if they were interested in a local car forum.

We already have a few members who are from NC, guys that may want to come down for a meet or show us the good roads up in the mountains. There aren't any requirements to join the board, you can be from anywhere and still join.
