So your car is in good running order again? I'm really glad to hear that! We need to set up a mini-meet or something for people in the area, go get a beer or something.

The plan is to bring this car right to the point where the buyer will be able to just jump right into modding. So I'm basically going to replacing all of the preventative maintenance stuff (60K, oil pump, front ball joints, brakes, rotors, whatever else i find that is bad). The interior also needs a complete revamp so I'll be doing that as well.

Crap, I've got my own mini-meet in my driveway now with these two VR-4's. My room mate also has a '94 SL, but it's not down here at the moment.

Well my car is washed and clean right now, probably won't be again in a few days, so give your's a wash and tell your buddy to come. Next time we have a nice day how about we meet up.

Buddy won't be bringing his car down to school any time soon.

The only time I wash my car is if it rains. With the condition the paint/body is in and the various body panels I've stolen from other cars, there just isn't any point to wasting money on getting it clean.

Yea, but the second I wash that thing, it becomes glaringly obvious that my car is three different shades of black

With this newest VR-4 I have, I'm going to go to town on the front bumper and see if I can bring it back to a shine...if it works, I'll be doing the same to all of my plastic parts as well...maybe even get that dent fixed and put on my new weatherstripping so I don't have a chromed out piece on my door lol

Not much to update...I've either been too busy or it's been too wet for me to work on the car. In the meantime, I turned some some shifter base bushings for the car since the shifter feel is very sloppy. Made them out of stainless...took me about an hour to make the set.

Someone else on here is selling them for about $65 for a complete set (that includes the brass underhood bushings as well), although the shifter base bushings are made from aluminum and not stainless. Anyway, only way I'd consider selling these is if I could setup the CNC lathe to run off a large batch, otherwise I would literally spend days making these.

Updates on the car: The weather has been horrible here and I came down with a nice illness over the weekend so I've been staying inside and trying to rest up. Decided to pull the front turbo/exhaust housing off today and pull the front head. Front three cylinders look great with only normal carbon buildup. There aren't really any ridges on the cylinder walls either, just a ring of carbon. Plan is to remove the rear head tomorrow and drop them off at the machine shop so I can start to get down and dirty on scrubbing the engine bay down. I'll get some before and after shots

It's not, really, but the parting tool that I used requires very low speeds in order to operate...slow speed = longer time, plus you have to sit there and constantly oil the tool so it doesn't overheat and fail. Automating this process would make it worthwhile to run these off and sell them. Problem is I don't know if our shop guy would let me do it.
