Won't know for sure until I fix the power steering leak and buy brake pads, rotors, and tires for it. The interior could also use some help, too.

An idea, but my other VR-4 is modded to my tastes. I'm not looking to break records or be the fastest kid on the block. My setup nets me consistent low 12's high 11's on pump and that's all I need. Also, I'm dead set on buying a bike now, so one of these cars needs to go.

Some first start-up pics. Don't mind the mattresses...we're cleaning out our basement.

Got a PM asking exactly what was done to the car after I found out I had a spun bearing. Figured I'd start a list since I'll need it in my classified ad:

70,300 mile JDM engine, transmission, and turbos
New OEM oil pump
New OEM water pump
New OEM timing belt
New OEM hydraulic tensioner, tensioner pulley, and idler pulley
New OEM clutch disc
New OEM throw-out bearing
Resurfaced flywheel and pressure plate
New front ball joints
New Taylor 8mm spark plug wires
New 1999 hydraulic lifters
New filter for K&N FIPK intake
Vacuum reduction
Manual boost controller
Gutted front precat
Maximal Performance solid motor mounts
New OEM gaskets and seals
New battery

That's all for the time being, but I'll be adding new brake pads, shims, rotors, and tires to that list eventually.

Congrats man you really did a good job on this rebuild. I can't believe you're gonna sell it now man. Curious to see what you are wanting to get for the car but good luck getting a sweet bike.

Today we shall drop the power steering rack and figure out what is going on with it. It doesn't look to be a fun job, though...

Figured I'd post this up. I'll try to do some more before/after shots at higher resolutions, too.

I haven't even done too much engine bay detailing other than cleaning up the sides a bit with wheel & tire cleaner. Should look pretty good when I put some work into it.
