hey guys just wanna throw this out there, over the weekend i was "driving" lol, and my pst driveshaft broke. I was actually racing a buddy of mines wrx wagon that went 12.9, and got 1 and a half runs in b4 the driveshaft snapped in 2 and started banging like crazy on my floor boards. I do have a video for you guys wondering and i also called pst about warrantying it. It was kinda scary when it happened but looking back now it was funny, and on the other note i walked my friend like he wasnt even racing. Ill post pics up soon.

Wow that sucks. I didn't even know you had a 1 piece driveshaft in that thing.

i have heard of that happening before to a PST...but on a launch. Honestly I would do the 2 piece because the angles on that 1 piece are a little stupid...and by angles coming out of the T case and the angle going into the diff.

Hope they warranty it

Yeah i've had a few friends with 1 piece driveshafts on some dsm's and the vibratons from the odd angle was pretty annoying. The second they switched to the two piece everything was back to normal.

Yea U joints are not supposed to have any more then 1 degree between both sides of what they connect otherwise they wear out too fast...and shouldn't have less then .5 degrees because then they burnish themselves and the needle bearings don't rotate anymore. That is the reason we have a 3 piece Propeller shaft (mitsu terms) to begin with. Dropping down to a 1 piece saves on weight but I think minimal over the 2 piece. Not saying bad choice Matt...just saying look into maybe being able to get the 2 piece...maybe.

yeah i know even from the get go every1 was telling me to get the 2 piece shaft, but the 1 piece saved the most weight and was actually cheaper lol, so guess which 1 i was going 4 lol. I talked to arlene at pst and she is sending me a box to ship my shaft back to them and they said once they get it they r gonna check it out and send me a new 1. So ill see how it goes, arlene was very helpful and nice on the phone so i am hoping everything will go smoothly.
