Default At what hrz or idc does fuel cut hit?

Basically I am looking to find out my accual IDC since MMCD's IDC and IPW are wrong.

I am thinking fuel cut is 100% IDC or at least I can use it as such since you cant go any higher than that.

Is there anyone who has hit fuel cut and logged eiather idc or had the means to log accual hrz's?

Thanks guys

Looking at my last log I got 112% idc at about 2300 hrz. That was during the day at 16psi, at night when its cooler I get about 117%idc but I didnt log the hrz.

I have read that 140% is possible. If this is true my 117% would really be 83.5% which would be perfect.

I have also read about 2300hrz is max and if this is true I am borderline fuel cutting and need to raise my fuel pressure.

I dont want to raise the pressure if I dont need to since I'm tuned pretty good as I sit right now.

Also I can run 18psi without hitting fuel cut but I get spark blowout so I keep it at 16psi.

where did you hear this?

As a note, seeing greater than 100% on a log is not an indicator that the data is wrong. The IDC is the result of a calculation based on IPW and RPM. Anything larger than 100% simply means the injectors are "static" or wide open.

People have hit 140% idc before, There is no way I am maxing out my evo's @ 16psi legitimatly. I think that would be some sort of record seeing how I am at 11.4-11.0 afr's.

are you sure you have adequate fuel pressure under full load?

The only way we will prove the accuracy of any of the dataloggers is if someone steps up and measures the IPW while running under load.

does it have to be at WOT? Can't it just be verified at various rpms in neutral with an oscope?

the pulsewidth is pretty small at idle. The heavier the load, the better the reading will be IMO.

At idle its a start...

I have a brand new fuel lab fpr.

I personally dont have the means to do any testing like this but if someone else did that would be cool.

I dont understand how the idc could be correct if I can run 16 psi at 112% and up the boost to 18 and not run out of fuel. Also I would hit fuel cut if I was close to maxing out the injectors. IMO this plus all the threads I have read about this leads me to beleave its true.

Which comes back to my original question, who here has logged fuel cut on mmcd and what was the max injd you could get?

Since your not out of fuel till you hit fuel cut that should make fuel cut 100% injd right?

I'll toss in here that I have seen 140% IDCs, reported by my miragecorp logger. Unfortunately I did not log IPW at that time. This was with 13t's at 15psi, stock 360cc injectors, and a hotwired walbro 341.

Sorry for the worthless post.
