well, you know that that signal doesn't take the e-manage into account right? for instance, if your datalogger says 37 degrees advance, and you subtract 10 from that to get the "real" number, and the e-manage is set at "-7" at that plot point, then you are not at 27 degrees advance. you are at 20. just making sure everything is clear. the e-manage adjustment is downstream from the logger
As crazy as this might sound i acually understood everything u just wrote

Alright, I figured I might as well put this up seems how I FINALLY!!!! got my car out of storage cause its SO DAMN NICE OUT!!
I've only put 80 miles on this tune so far. I've got the wideband rigged into the emu...haven't really had TOO much time to do tuning, yet. I'm not really getting much knock at all..which tickles me tender. I actually think I'm running a touch too rich, as my idle tends to chill out around 11.0 after I've been driving the car for a bit. Is this normal?
I'm hitting about...14psi right now on my 15g's. I think I'm actually about ready to turn that biotch up...too bad I'm convinced my DSBC is haunted and it wont go above 15psi

so,
this setup can produce more power but also more knock !
setting values in "-" and you means you prefer a "safe engine"
setting values in "+" and you means you prefer a "powered engine"
can you give us some names of datalogger that use the +10 points of timing advence ?
TMO, MMCD, Mirage corp ... ?
i send a mail to HHH in order to see how they use this information ( i ordered a new logger for us 6 days ago for my OBD1 GTO )
thank's
fred

HHH shows the correct value. TMO shows +something.
So I just went out and did some runs. I tried out audiopmp's map, as he has the same injectors as me. That one resulted in a not-fun amount of knock. Wayyy too lean for my setup. I'm so damn lost as to what I'm supposed to do
I'm currently running a map that seems to be working decent, as far as knock goes. I'm hitting 14psi max, as my dsbc is set at that. No knock during WOT in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. But, the only problem is...I'm getting <15mpg. I know, I know...gotta pay to play, but I've heard of 600+awhp setups getting 26-28mpg. I didn't do but maybe 3 pulls off that last tank, and got shitty gas mileage.
If someone can talk me through this shit, I'd gladly call you and pay for your time
Oh, and...during my logs, should my timing be chillin' at 0.0? Cause thats all it ever shows for me. My palm changes, emu doesnt.
archangelcomp: With an idle AFR of 11 I'm not surprised you're getting terrible gas milage. I would lean that to 14.7 - 15 AFR ASAP otherwise you'll contaminate your engine oil with fuel.

Its rather weird though...sometimes it idles ~11, sometimes it 14-15 where I want it. I just tried leaning it up a bit, shot to ~16. Its not really doing stuff thats all that predictable...so I'm a bit lost as to what to do.

Hmm, that's interesting. I haven't gotten any knock on mine. Maybe because Im at ~5200' ASL altitude though... Sorry man. Hey what WBO2 are you using?
