Just finished getting my emanage working properly. I want to say thanks to blackstealth and all the other contributors for this wealth of information. Although I am having a problem and I'd like some advice.
When I set it up and dialed in my injectors (450cc w/.53 lag time DSM black tops) it was really lean. So I scaled it down to like 425 and it would idle right around 14.7. But i'm having a problem with it giving me lean spikes when the TPS is zero. Other than that it runs well AFR and feeling wise. I also tried increasing the lag time but it seems to make it worse. I remember blackstealth said he gets rich spikes in this situation, but this is the opposite. I tried posting my log but the file size is too big, probably cause i'm a newb on the forum? Is this something to be worried about? does anyone else have this problem or suggestions to solve it? Edit: when i say really lean it flatlines at the max amount(22.3).. its a flat reading so I'm thinking its either inaccurate or extremely lean(beyond the max), but the engine doesn't sound bad. Also my sensor is in the exhaust.. could this be caused by the pressure shifting weird in there? Last edited by Chill : 10-18-2008 at 10:25 PM. |

Theoretical question. Say you have the clutch switch properly setup and the IGN tab like this:
Start - 5600 IGN Cut RPM - 9999 Shift Up - 4780 Throttle position - 50% # of V.S. pulse - 10 You press in the clutch at a dead stop and floor it. Are you going to get 4780 or 5600? Anyone tested it? Is it smart enough to allow 5600 since you're at a dead stop? If it's not I have a fix. I'll use my unused horn button to interrupt the clutch switch continuity during the launch. But if I don't have to complicate the circuit I won't.

I think it ignores the shift up if the car is NOT moving...
btw, did you find a fix for the 2step/logging problem?

Switch 1 (which is the option 1 input (in use by the pressure sensor)) Switch 2 (which is the option 2 input (in use by the wideband)) Switch (which is the 1/8" mini-jack SWITCH input (in use by my internal logger switch which doesn't even work anyway)) BINGO! |

I answered my own question. At a dead stop if the shift up RPM is lower than the start RPM and the clutch is in the EMU will use the shift up RPM.
Also beware the shift up rev limiter won't drag RPM's down when activated...it'll only limit RPM if it's activated below or before you're on the high side of where it's set. Kinda hard to explain but if you have your "shift up" set at 4800 and you push in the clutch at WOT and 5500 then you're going straight for 7200+...it won't drag it down to 4800. It will turn on the timing adjustment if you have that active (whoopee!!!!). This is v1.14 BTW. Not sure if it was fixed in a later release. |

What a flaw. It makes that function useless IMO. |
