v2.00 introduced a new datalog map that assists in creating your own speed density map. Once you have this data your free to switch back to v1.14.
v2.xx allows wideband o2 feedback control to work on the airflow map too. This is only useful if you're not at stage 3, and only when you're tuning. Also somewhere in v2.xx you can scroll with the arrow keys when reviewing your datalog. Majority of the updates after v1.14 apply to fixes for different engine types, and connectivity to v-manage and other greddy products that we don't need. |

just to inform you about my EMU aiflow output map with 680 injectors !
i had problems of ideling when A/C was on ( as racer-x have seen, the RPM went from 800 to below 500 RPM and the engine stopped ) my fist point of RPM was too high ! i worked on the map to find a good scale for RPM and boost ! you can see that the curve is linear for a specified boost in fonction on RPM ! -> so i rescaled my map all the 500 RPM Points but for a curve in fonction on a speciified RPM, it is a S form ! i modified the scale and a put new values in fonction of the arrows that you can see in this above picture ! no need for me to have a lot of points above 15PSI of boost because it's a linear form. the same when vaccum between -12 and 3 PSI. ![]() ![]() this is the rescaled map ![]() ![]() what changed on the car ? - a more good idle for sure ! - a good cruise and the A/F is more accurate arround 14.7 during closed loop - no problems at idle when i put the climate control A/C not sure it can help you but it changed the tune of the car for me ! but the boost scale are not linear for me ! setup 680cc, HL15G, modified heads and valves +1mm oversize ..... @+ fred

Good observation Fred62, anytime fueling is linear you can use large steps, and put your focus on those with rapid changes (which demands smaller steps).
Have you looked at how the stock MAF behaves on stealth316? Focus on the linearity and non-linearity of Liter/Hz to better understand our MAF. Stealth 316 - 3S MAS Liter Per Hz ![]() As you can see low airflow numbers are non-linear and requires the most work for best drive-ability. |

Can the emu datalog IDCs? I know its probably a stupid question but I havent seen it explicitly stated.
The reason I ask is with the EMU, wideband cable, if it can log knock, afr and IDC then their should be no need for another logger. Is this correct?

Yes. In stage III, the EMU can log IDCs. As far as it being a one-stop shop, the datalogger is very useful, however, I don't really like the knock logging. Since it doesn't monitor knock sum, it's often difficult to determine real knock from phantom knock. So I still use my PocketLogger for my knock logging. HHH is also a great application that I was going to purchase and I believe that BlackStealth uses HHH. HHH can also integrate the wideband into the logger as well.

I've read the whole thread and I'm sorry if I'm making someone repeat themselves, but did anyone ever post what stock AFR should be by rpm or do we still just have the stealth316 map?
Also I just got my EMU, should I downgrade to 1.14? I plan on going speed density later, should I leave it upgraded til I map that out? I saw blackstealth said that it has an added logging feature for making the map. What is that feature? |
