You can datalog the throttle position without having the engine running -- just step on the throttle and watch it change. Also if you double click on the parameter you can change the scale, so for throttle 0-100% would make a good choice if it's not already as defaulted to that.

Ok, I got it dataloggin. It seems that my problem is that there is no rpm signal coming into the emu.... I included my log. I am not sure why this is. Under parameteres settings, I selected Vehical, rpm signal type, rpm signal. This is the signal from the ecu correct? Im going to go and check wiring for good connection and correct pinout.

RPM wire was incorrectly installed. A simple mistake of the diagram I believe. Its been about a year since I soldered it on
Anyway. New log. http://http://www.import-power.com/gallery/d/1728-1/2ndlog_lg2?g2_GALLERYSID=8f0fee8fd745510b0698482c5c3dece8 Car seemed to run alot better, but it still wont start with the fuel pump plugged in. It just is too rich and then it looses all the fuel pressure and runs too lean so it is hard to tell wtf it is running like. But it definately has a stron rpm signal now. That is very important peice of the puzzle. here also is the map I threw togather from trying to follow your instructions blackstealth. It is using greyhazes method #5. like u advised. EDIT: log too big in zip format I guess I could host it on ipo's server. Last edited by Man : 01-14-2008 at 06:51 PM. |

just some guy.

have you put in the before and after injector latency time values? That will help your car run better. Also, have you installed the fuel injector adapter? your car will want to run MUCH richer if you don't have it, and it will be harder to dial in.

I didnt put in the latency time values becuase I dont know what they are. If your talking about the greddy part that helps prevent the cel, then yes, I soldered that in. Did anyone look at my map, should that be good enough to run. Also, I am running supra fuel pump and aem regualtor with a hot wire kit. Fuel pressure is set at 45psi.

I'm using v2.16 software and some things are showing up differently (ie, engine code, etc). This is probably because that map was made for v2.13 (looks like one of mine).
List of changes: 1. Change the injector latency from 0.00 to 0.70 for before and after values. 2. Inside the AF Target map change the "-" in the first three rows to 14.7 AFR. And for the 0 boost line, change the AFR to 13.5 AFR. Use Interpolate feature to fill in all the missing values. 3. Edit the AF Target conditions from 50% throttle to 0% throttle, and feedback amount from 1% to 0.5% . This will allow the AF Target map to apply corrections regardless of your throttle position. After your engine has heated up and your idle is good (14.7 AFR) change the throttle % to like 3% and in neutral rev slowly to 4000rpms so the AF Target map can make adjustments. Again edit the throttle % to a higher value and drive slowly in 1st gear and slowly climb up the RPMS. This will allow your AF target map to make adjustment in low engine load conditions. Finally you'll want to work your way up to a higher throttle % so the AF target map doesn't modify stuff you've already perfected. Eventually you'll want the throttle % to be very high so only WOT operations are effected. Increase the feedback cycle to the highest value to minimize the temporary rich AFR error that shows when you suddenly come off of throttle. Some people even choose to turn off the AF target map for this reason. 4. You said you had your narrowband o2 disconnected. To make this even better, disconnect the battery to reset your fuel trims to 100%. Once you've completed low engine load tuning you can connect your narrowband o2s back in and erase the 14.7 AFR from your AF target map and put "-" back in there. This way the narrowband o2's are in control. Last edited by BlackStealth : 01-15-2008 at 07:45 AM. |
