thank's for this Map.

the fact you can just add some fuel with 2.5 stage, when runing A/F target, if it is needed to minus IDC, you engine will run rich because it can't substract some fuel ? no ? Quote:
i just played with acceleration I/J map and not acceleration ignition map. i was thinking efficiency of my SMICS are bad at low speed. i was thinking about making a control of a water spray for the two SMICs at low speed in order to minus air temperature. i added some fuel in the accel I/J map without succes ! i will test accel ignition map. so, also one question about IAT compensation.
as i put a fixed value of IAT at the 3000GT ECU, i control IAT by the way of the Emanage ultimate now. so i need to make a "intake temp I/J map" and "intake temp timing map" but i lack about a good setting in the emanage. i checked a with ecuflash a rom of a EVO8 but without success. some people here know more than me about compensation factors. could this be ok or must i decrease or increase some values in the 2 maps ? ![]() thank's fred |

If your intake temperature is fixed, then your intake adjustments maps are useless as nothing can be applied when intake temperatures do change. Not sure why you would want to fix the intake temperature in the first place. I've made some improvements to my original RC550 speed density map. I temporarily disconnected the narrowband o2s and reset my fuel trims to 100% and retuned. Now with my narrowbands reconnected, they don't deviate far from 100%. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so my speed density map will continue to be improved, so if your mods are similar to mine just ask and I'll send ya my most recent version. |

just some guy.

I think he means he put a static resistor in place of the IAT sensor on the ecu wiring, and hooked up his "real" intake air temperature sensor directly to his EMU so the stock ECU doesn't try to correct for IAT, but he can still adjust for it via the EMU. I did the same thing with my car. haven't got a chance to tune with it yet 'though.

So what advantages are there to sending a fixed IAT signal to the ECU, but a real signal to the EMU?
I'm using the stock IAT without issues. Looking at the AEM EMS default map for 3S cars, it does this for fuel trim based on intake temp. -40F, 5.86% -22F, 4.69% -4F, 3.52% 14F, 2.73% 32F, 1.95% 50F, 1.17% 68F, 0.29% 86F and beyond, 0.00% And as for ignition they don't make any correction, all 0%. where physicaly is the "speed sensor" that is used to stop the ign cut feature?
also, to my knowledge Trevor had his car running "very well" with just a SD map and no other timing, accel, temp, maps. Is that correct? |
